Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.
- By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
- Through faith, he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
- By faith, they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.
Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
And he that has my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord. Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
Heb. 11:25-29;Jere. 23:23-24&28-29
Sarah and Abraham went to Egypt also, Joseph went to Egypt and Israel, Jesus hid in Egypt unto the King died...Egypt was a place where they wrote down the things that happened and their laws, etc. Everything in black and white is not always right, everything in black and white is not always true, God's holy word knows just what to do. This is God's battle is not by might, God's word is Spirit and it is not by sight...So speak His word faithfully and don't be afraid, for God is the one that the battle is weighed...Amen.
